Join our volunteer community team
Support a thoughtful worldwide conversation. Different perspectives are welcome.
A worldwide team with a shared purpose
Governing for Life welcomes people who want to help others make informed choices for the well-being of humanity and the living world. Your language, local knowledge and life experience can contribute to a bigger picture. We invite you to become part of a volunteer community team, in whatever way fits your skills and available time.
Ways to contribute
- Translation reviewers: check that translated pages and documents preserve the meaning, tone and cultural context. Suggest clearer wording and explain why it helps.
- Community moderators: review contributions fairly, encourage checkable sources and apply the participation guidelines consistently.
- Community mediators: help keep communication polite and respectful, invite people to listen, and clarify misunderstandings. They make room for different viewpoints and apply the same courtesy standards to everyone. They avoid taking sides or using their role to promote personal opinions. Participation in mediation is voluntary.
- Contributors: share relevant questions, information, local perspectives and suggestions that help others understand the bigger picture.
A single correction matters, and regular participation is welcome too. You do not need to agree with every article or share the same political or spiritual views. A shared commitment to the website’s purpose, respectful dialogue and careful handling of information is what matters.
A community responsibility
Michael cannot review every contribution alone. If you support the purpose of Governing for Life and would like to help others take part, we invite you to express interest in becoming a volunteer moderator. Support for the purpose does not require agreement with every article or proposal.
What a moderator does
Moderation protects respectful participation; it does not enforce agreement with Michael, Elarion or a preferred political or spiritual view. Apply the same standards to supportive and critical contributions, and explain moderation decisions when asked.
- Review relevant contributions and questions, encourage clear sources, and distinguish evidence from interpretation.
- Welcome differing views. Apply the same standards regardless of political affiliation, country or belief.
- Address spam, harassment, threats and disclosure of private information. Explain moderation decisions respectfully.
- Recognise the limits of a public board and direct sensitive disclosures toward suitable specialist resources.
- Refer difficult decisions, conflicts of interest and disputed removals to Michael.
We particularly welcome people who can bring knowledge of other countries, languages and communities. Please suggest only a time commitment you can comfortably maintain.
Express your interest
Contact Michael about joining the volunteer team. Tell us which role interests you, the languages you use, any relevant experience, and the time you could comfortably offer. You may also share your country or time zone if useful. An enquiry does not automatically grant access to unpublished material. Michael will discuss responsibilities and approve any necessary access individually.
Protecting participants
Moderators must respect the privacy of unpublished contributions, disclose relevant conflicts and avoid using their role to promote a party, government, business or personal campaign. Access should be limited to the agreed role. Participants can ask Michael to review a moderation decision.
