Your voice can help build a more peaceful world

You do not have to solve the whole problem to contribute. Your experience matters.

Citizens and public officials listen to one another around a table of community plans.
Accountable decisions begin with listening, shared evidence and public participation. AI-created illustration of the topic; not a photograph of an actual event.

World peace connects to the choices that shape our daily lives. A concern about housing, food, medical care or a local habitat can open a conversation about how we govern our shared home.

Begin with what affects your life

You can ask: Why is this happening? Who makes the decision? What information is missing? What could improve the situation, and who could help?

Your local experience can help people elsewhere recognize a similar issue. Explain the place, what happened and what you would like to understand. Separate direct experience from something you heard, and include sources when available.

What happens after you contribute

  1. Choose how to appear. Question and discussion forms require no account. You can contribute without a public name, or choose a name or alias.
  2. Submit and wait for confirmation. A successful message confirms receipt. If a form reports an error, keep your text and try again rather than assuming it arrived.
  3. Allow time for review. Pending questions and discussion contributions are visible to their author and the moderator. Review considers relevance, respectful communication and information that may need checking. No fixed response time is promised.
  4. Follow the conversation. Return using the same browser to check your pending submission. After approval, questions and contributions may become public. Published answers identify Michael’s and the AI’s perspectives.
  5. Question the answer. Ask a follow-up, offer a correction or explain a different experience. Approval does not require agreement with our conclusions.

Private translation corrections use the correction form and are reviewed before wording changes. For other correspondence, the contact page also offers email addresses and an email-draft form; that form opens your email application and does not send a message itself.

Understand privacy before posting

Contributing without a public name is different from guaranteed anonymity. The site uses an essential browser cookie to identify submission ownership, and hosting systems may process technical request information. Do not include sensitive personal information or treat this as a secure whistleblowing channel. Public text may itself identify you. Read the before-you-post guidance.

If you cannot find a submission or need to follow up, contact Michael with its topic and approximate date. Avoid reposting repeatedly. For urgent needs, use appropriate local services rather than waiting for a website response.

Small contributions can make a practical difference

  • Check an official government contact for your community and tell us if the link is missing or outdated.
  • Share a verified local service for food, housing, health or family assistance.
  • Describe a project that improved lives or restored a habitat, with its location, sources, results and remaining difficulties.
  • Review wording in a language you know and suggest a correction.
  • Help another reader ask a clear question, without deciding their answer for them.

These are invitations, not claims that readers have already completed these projects. Accepted corrections and additions can appear in What’s new and the change history.

People from different countries and beliefs are welcome. Supporting our purpose means supporting respectful participation and a peaceful world; it does not require agreeing with every answer.

  • Translation reviewer: help preserve meaning and identify unclear wording.
  • Source checker: verify a claim, date or official resource and explain any limitation.
  • Country contributor: share local understanding and dependable public information.
  • Discussion mediator: help people communicate politely, hear differing views and keep discussion relevant. The role is not to enforce personal opinions.

Tell Michael which role interests you, the languages or communities you know and what time you can offer. Volunteering does not automatically grant access to private submissions; responsibilities and appropriate access would be agreed separately.

We warmly welcome help from people who are fluent in the languages used here. These AI-assisted translations may contain mistakes or miss cultural nuances. Your knowledge can help preserve the meaning, tone and intent of the message for readers around the world.

Please send us the page or document, quote the wording that needs attention, and suggest a correction with a brief explanation. A single correction is valuable. You can also volunteer to review more content and become part of our volunteer community team.

If you support Governing for Life’s purpose—improving the well-being of people and the living world—we also welcome volunteer moderators and community mediators. Moderators help apply the participation guidelines fairly. Mediators help keep communication polite and respectful, make room for different viewpoints, and avoid using their role to promote personal opinions. Supporting the purpose does not require agreement with every article or perspective.

Choose the kind of help and the time commitment that suits you. Together, people from different countries, languages and experiences can help this worldwide conversation grow.
